Hello Sweet People,
I couldn’t have written this book sooner than I did. I needed to do more striving and wear myself out some more. I needed to meditate more, and cry more, and dance more, and be betrayed. I needed to see my friends trying reeeally hard to do the right, “spiritual” thing. Just like I was. So beautiful. So strenuous…such an initiation.
I think we’re hungry for truth and sincerity — starving for it. I think we’re getting burned out from trying another ten steps to instant self-improvement. I think we want connection to the divine, along with our human comforts. We need encouragement, a sense of lightness, to be of service, to be turned on, to be free, to feel…substantial.
So White Hot Truth is about questioning our quest. Not so that we can get all debaucherous (tho’ that might be exactly what your spiritual evolution requires at the moment. In which case, go for it.) but so that we can craft a spirituality for ourselves that feels inspired and liberating — instead of a checklist for getting holistic and moral approval ratings.
Here it is: I want you to love and trust yourself more intensely. So much so that you look into your heart and see that it’s connected to everyone else’s. And from that deep place, you can’t help but get off your ass and be of service to the world.
But that’s just my definition of “spiritual”. Your white hot truth is yours to define. Get on it. There is so much light waiting to be mined…inside of you. So much, my friends.
