Sweet Friends,

Intimacy is one of my favourite energies—emotional, spiritual, the select physical. Intimacy is the opposite of selling and strategy. And I am maxed on the sell side of my work. I mostly want to have conversations.

Even though I’ve turned my life into a perpetual teachable moment, there are places I don’t go because a) I don’t want to be perceived as a self-important wanker. b) I want you to stick around for comfort and inspiration. Evidently, the more personal I get, the more people come for more.

Welcome to my Intimacy Era. Stripped down. Fewer pitches. More questions. Slightly unpredictable. Every Weekend. Please stay, please forward to your friends. Tell me what’s working.

So I went on a medicine journey in Mexico last week. I still have a lot to tell you about what happened for me in Egypt in November. But let’s do mushrooms first…

I haven’t done psychedelics in over 20 years. I like the simple work of sitting my butt down almost daily to get centered under the light. Like I wrote about in White Hot Truth, if you’re going to get on the psychedelic highway, you might come back with energies that are better left on the other side. They’re looking to feed on pain and fear so they can create all kinds of… pain and fear. Morning prayers are lower risk.

But the time was right. I was with a beloved sister, Joey, who created Sound Healing Tulum with her husband, Mitch. When they moved into the jungle and started pulling rocks up from the “spring”, they unearthed fresh cenotes in a cave that no one knew was there. (All healers, masterminders, retreat leaders… take your people there for an experience! It’s a very special, spectacular place for cacao, medicine, and sound ceremonies, and food and parties.

I began my mushroom journey by telling the land spirits that they were not to come home with me. I would stay open to the downloads, but they had to stay out of my astral body. We had a deal.

It went like this:

Kaleidoscope cathedrals, a visitation from Mother—all of which was helping me to integrate the frequencies I received in Egypt.

Most of my journey was a messenger mission. The land elements told me that one of the reasons I came to Mexico was to get a message to Joey + Mitch—they’d been waiting for me to convey. They repeated the same message to me 27 times “so that I didn’t forget”. I GOT IT.

“Tomorrow morning, do a prosperity ceremony with Joey in the cave. Start it before 7am. You do the Aum’ing, Joey will do her do.” I was reminded of the power of words, spoken with intention, where two or more are gathered, in a sacred place. Power-full.

We flip flopped down to the cave as it thundered and rained at dawn. Girlfriends got down to sacred business and then skinny dipped in the cenotes. Sublime.

Other instructions from the Land Spirits and guides:

  • “Do NOT do any psychedelics for another three years.” Fine by me. What’s usually an hour-long journey for most people lasts about six hours for me.
  • “You do indeed have parasites.” Yay! Jenn Pike already had me dialed to start a cleanse.
  • “Do not cut your hair.” Hunh, not sure what that’s about but I’m into it.
  • I was shown three new people coming into my life.
  • “Never let go of your son. Always be with Will.” This was comfort food. My son Harper is making plans to move out (I’m crying in the kitchen at least once a week.) And my man and I have had a strenuous first six months of marriage. Love is winning.

In Shroomary:

Did I “need” the mushrooms in order to grow? Not necessarily. Did I grow? Definitely.

Maybe I could have meditated deeply in the cave for a few hours and tapped into the same messages. But the plant medicine helped me circumnavigate fears and doubts. It was a deeply healing gift, and I bow to it.

I’m profoundly grateful for the Light downpour and knowledge. I was thrilled to be the message mule for my friends. Mostly, the journey helped me uplevel my willingness to do what the Divine tells me to do. I’m going to make a habit of it. xo

Your Light buddy,

MY CURRENT SUPER ESOTERIC READS

Since my Egypt pilgrimage, I’ve gone full tilt on Hermetic philosophy.

Hermeticism is a philosophy—some say a religion, based on the teachings of Hermes Trismegistus (c. 300 BCE – 1200 CE). He’s a mash up of the Greek god Hermes and the Egyptian god Thoth. I look at Hermetics as the primer for esoterica and astrology. Nom nom! 😋

I’m hosting a Winter Solstice Meditation tomorrow
