Taking planetary alignments into consideration, bringing love into politics, and nature consciousness into commerce is not spiritual bypassing. That’s spiritual practice.
If you’re paying attention to your choices, you’ll cognitive dissonance pang once in a while. And it can be a smidge shamey. But when you apply compassion to that sensation it shows itself as your conscience. And it’s a signal to get into alignment with your higher nature. Either examine and change your perspective, or shift your actions.
In “Spirituality for grown-ups” (Eps 1), we’re exploring the definition of spirituality… one that’s more rock ‘n’ roll than religious. More liberating than dogmatic. A definition of spirituality that allows us to be more gentle with ourselves; that embraces duality and nuance; that promotes self-agency, Real Love, and inclusiveness, and JOY.
This episode is especially for globally concerned deep-feelers. If you’re a worrier… you’re not alone. I have my own frets… Am I making myself accessible enough, but still boundaried in a healthy way? Am I effective enough? (I think about this daily.) Have I done no harm? Have I shook shit up sufficiently? The list goes on… because the more of a deep-feeler you are, the longer the list of things you feel. But I wouldn’t have it any other way.
A Manifesting Practice that takes your whole self into consideration. Virtues + Clarity + Steadiness.
Manifesting is an art and a science—and you have to leave a lot of room for mystery, while upholding your Faith. No one has THE way. Life is complex. But here’s everything I’ve been given from masterful teachers over the years, and practiced myself with some exquisite results.
The first time I’ve spoken about the “living death” I experienced last year—may this help your own heart
This is the first time I’ve publicly spoken about the “living death” I experienced in the Fall of 2018. I went to the darkest place of my being—panic attacks, identity crisis, loss, disillusionment and… incredible awe. GRACE.
Here’s a beautiful notion to consider: You already have a lot of what you want, in places you may have overlooked, in different packaging than you may have expected, and hidden in plain sight.
SPIRITUALITY IS… Dirty. Obsessive. Deeply concerned. Scabs, shame, transmutation, wet kisses, the holy cross, desperation. Presence. The birth canal. Time bender…
Anxiety and fear, mercy and bliss.
It’s lying to yourself until the needle of Truth pierces your life and stitches you whole.
Spirituality is doing the dishes and looking for your phone.
In my experience, boundary obliviousness is part of the initiation into wholeness. I don’t think you have to warrior your whole life for it, but it’s a passage to self-agency that most women seem to have to go through. Boundaries help us expand our consciousness.
Lightwork can be a fight. If you think being on the “spiritual” side of progress guarantees you harmony, then either you haven’t been at it long enough or you’ve been playing it safe. Harmonizing, healing, serving, shining…it’s messy work. Beautiful. Worth it. But messy.
You have a golden heart, and you want to help the world. Where do you start when the world is so messed up and you are feeling messed up because of it?
