The science, the art—and the heart of Desire.

The science, the art—and the heart of Desire.
Detachment is hard on your heart — and it actually creates blocks to what you want. Non-attachment, on the other hand, is actually nourishing, and much easier to put into practice.
Why do we do meditations on the Full Moon? What’s the “dark of the moon?” Does… it have anything to do with Pink Floyd?
In the personal development realm, discussion around Forgiveness tends to focus on us Forgiving the other person for what they apparently did. But what about asking for Forgiveness?
It’s fairly easy to conceive of a collective consciousness that is loving. Essentially, people who are compassionate, kind, uplifting to the world.
Harmlessness as a virtue––as an embodied energy, may be one of our most demanding calls as a species. It’s a commitment to the Universal Truth that can be hard to uphold.
When we pray for the strength to protect others, I believe that we magnetize more Light into our lives. Because it’s universal law–to give is to receive.
“Who is this ego that is always against me? Who is this a**hole?” asked Mary. (Name changed for privacy.) THIS is why I adore our Heart Centered Members. Deep, curious, no holding back.
I used to think that Inner Peace was a boring proposition. If I was to transcend my ego-needs, what would I have to leave behind? Where would excitement come from? And passion, and the thrill of accomplishment? (The ego-mind lives for being productive. And if you’re not highly productive, the ego guilts you out for it.)
Imagine deeply loving someone (a partner, child, friend). Feel that love. Wise decisions are always based in love and have nothing to prove to anyone.
We need to heal.
We need each other.
We need each other to heal.
Furthermore…
Relationships are vehicles for healing.
And that’s my thesis on love in these times.
Instead of: How do I want to feel?
Ask: WHAT DO I WANT TO EMBODY?
The most powerful thing I can do for the world is to heal myself. When I heal my own inner conflicts, immune system, and polarizations, two beautiful things occur…
Use your energy to process current time reality. It’s all we know for sure that we have.
Live fully now. The soul reveals all information on a need-to-know basis.

What if the educational system got an overhaul with… loving kindness and enthusiasm? We know it needs it. Here it is, embodied. Please meet Mr. Donovan Taylor Hall (@donofriend on Instagram). He’s a youth (and parent) coach helping kids build a positive relationship with themselves through 3 key skills: gratitude, growth mindset, and self talk.
In these factious times, will you lay it on the line in the name of integrity? Or will you stay rooted in your dominion… and find workarounds to serve in a magnificent way?
I still struggle with this myself… let’s unpack it together.
Who’s to say what’s insane and what’s enlightened? Where does our judgement crowd out the sacred mystery? Why do humans choose to suffer? Come with me…
Imagine waking up tomorrow, not needing to prove your value to anyone. Not your boss, your partner, your mom, or the landlord of the building you want to live in… how might your aspirations and energy management change?
Taking planetary alignments into consideration, bringing love into politics, and nature consciousness into commerce is not spiritual bypassing. That’s spiritual practice.
We fight for causes, for relationships, for our children, for our co-workers… but it can be terrifying to fight for ourselves. This is where sisterhood is particularly powerful. When our girlfriends see us over-extending, and they look us in the eye and say, “Stop. You don’t need to do this.”
Going with the flow isn’t about being passive or laissez faire. It’s not about just letting things happen “to you.” It’s not aimless wandering. Going with the Flow is a co-creative act.
Shadow work, Faith, rebirth, and shedding—#GraceforImpact is a plea to make 2020 change us for the better.
Why do some of us change as a result of suffering and some of us don’t? What creates revolutions?
Faith is believing that the Light exists, even when it’s dark.
Binding identities, grievances, expired dreams, regrets, possessions. Can you feel the pressure to let go?
60+ things to do when we’re in pain. Wise, devotional tools and practices I use to heal.
